London Dungeons Fulfills 17-Year-Old Samuel’s Dream of Becoming an Actor!

17-year-old Samuel had his ultimate wish granted by the team at the London Dungeon - to step into the eerie world of theatrical scares and become an actor for the day.

With the help of the London Dungeons team, who crafted an incredible itinerary, Samuel experienced a fully immersive day in the life of a Dungeon performer. His adventure began at 10 a.m. with a behind-the-scenes walk-through and a team briefing, giving him a first-hand look at the inner workings of the attraction.

By 11 a.m., Samuel was on the floor training for his big debut. He took on two thrilling roles—Plague Scare and Plague Doctor’s Assistant—both designed to give him a taste of the Dungeon’s signature scares without the need for scripted lines. Paired with one of the Dungeon’s skilled actor trainers, he quickly got into character.

After a well-deserved lunch break, Samuel stepped into the transformation zone at 1 p.m. for costume and makeup with the Studios team. Special effects makeup, including the possibility of latex applications, helped complete his chilling look. Once fully in character, he was ready to take on his biggest challenge yet—performing for real guests.

From 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., Samuel and his trainer hit the Dungeon floor, delivering spine-chilling moments to unsuspecting visitors. By the end of his performance, it was time to step out of costume and celebrate his achievement with a certificate marking his unforgettable experience.

To cap off an already incredible day, Samuel and his family were invited on the final tour of the Dungeon, ending the evening with drinks in the eerie tavern. Throughout the experience, Annie, Operations Duty Manager, ensured everything ran smoothly, while Anya, Performance Actor Trainer, guided Samuel through the art of fear-inducing theatrics.

Thanks to the London Dungeon team, Samuel’s dream of becoming an actor in one of the world’s most thrilling attractions became a reality—an experience he’ll never forget!
