SEA LIFE London Aquarium Sparks Inspiration with a VIP Girls in Science Day Experience

In celebration of the UN’s International Day of Women and Girls in Science, SEA LIFE London Aquarium made a splash by treating four aspiring young scientists from St Ann’s School in London to an exclusive VIP experience. This unforgettable day was all about inspiring curiosity, fueling a love for marine life, and showing these bright young minds the magic of science in action.

The adventure began with an interactive VIP tour, where puppets, play, and hands-on exploration brought the wonders of the ocean to life. The students got up close with fascinating underwater artifacts, met the expert aquarium team, and discovered the secrets of marine science through touch and discovery. As part of Merlin’s Magic Wand’s mission to spark joy and create unforgettable moments for children who need them most, the experience celebrated the girls’ enthusiasm and passion for the underwater world.

From wandering through breathtaking ocean tunnels to feeling the gentle ebb and flow of the waves, the girls explored SEA LIFE London’s incredible marine habitats. Along the way, they met starfish, rays, and even caught a glimpse of majestic sharks and sea turtles, making for an awe-inspiring journey beneath the sea.

This special visit also marked the launch of an exciting new project—this March, Merlin’s Magic Wand and London’s Merlin Entertainments attractions will unveil a brand-new “London Under the Sea” themed playground at St Ann’s School, bringing the magic of the ocean to life right in the heart of their schoolyard!
